Pentecost Sunday
Please help us celebrate the rich outpouring of the Holy Spirit by wearing something red on Sunday 11th May - a scarlet suit, some vermillion vests or your crimson cardigan?

St. Mark’s
We have been invited to a special service at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday 14th May to inaugurate the ministry of their new priest, the Reverend Craig Tanksley.  Let us have a good turnout and show our support!

A Parish Letter is available for pick up this morning from the back of church.  Please take yours and that of your friend or neighbour that you can deliver.

“Confirm, O Lord ...”
Please pray for Gwen Dick and Bill Cooper who are to be confirmed this afternoon in Christ Church Cathedral.

Please pray for the repose of the soul of the Venerable Dennis Popple, former executive archdeacon of this diocese.  Dennis has been a guest preacher here on several occasions and also visited several of our retirement homes.

“No-one Comes to the Father except through me”
Several people have asked for a copy of the sermon that the Rector preached on this difficult text.  Look for the pink sheets at the back of church.

From the GREEN TEAM
Battery Recycling
Because many batteries contain toxic constituents (lead, mercury, cadmium, etc.) they pose a potential threat to human health and the environment when improperly disposed of. Batteries, although small in size, account for a disproportionate amount of the toxic heavy metals in solid waste. With improper management, these toxins can be released into the environment.
Help us at Holy Trinity to do our part - bring in your used batteries and put them in one of the two baskets (one in the environmental corner of the library and the other at the main entrance door) and we will take them to an approved recycling location. Small batteries only - rechargeable, alkaline, lithium, etc. - no computer batteries or car batteries, thank you!

The A.C.W. wish to thank all congregation members for their help in collecting various articles, but would like to point out a few misconceptions.  The prepaid white envelopes which help the Cancer Society through Canada Post are for envelopes only - not prepaid cards etc. found in magazines.  Also found in magazines are discount slips - “so-much-off” a certain article if purchased.  These cannot be used by the A.C.W. and are only recycled.  We are still collecting used postage stamps, Campbell soup labels (the whole label) and Buy-Low receipts. Thank you so much.

Scripture readings for next Sunday: (The Day of Pentecost) - Numbers 11:24-30, Psalm 104:25-35, 37, Acts 2:1-21, John 20:19-23.
