Flower Delivery Ministry

The flowers for the altar are taken after the service each Sunday to the sick and shut-ins. This is a wonderful symbol of the fact that they are still an important part of our eucharistic community.

2009 FLOWER DELIVERY MINISTRY REPORT

This Ministry in 2009 was once again very successful due to the help of all those who volunteered and delivered the flowers from the Altar each Sunday after the 10:00 a.m. service.

We have 7 delivery teams plus spares. After the service the flowers are removed from the Altar and broken down in 5-7 small bouquets and with each bouquet we include the morning bulletin and a card which indicates it is a gift from the Altar of the Church of the Holy Trinity. They are delivered to those in homes and care facilities as well as those in hospital. During 2009 we had over 40 people who received flowers on a scheduled basis plus those in hospital.

Each team delivers flowers to 5 to 7 parishioners every 7 weeks with the exception of Lent as there are no flowers during this period. We wish to thank the delivery teams and spares for their willingness and cooperation in carrying out this Ministry.

If anyone could spare an hour every 7 weeks to help with the delivery of flowers on either a regular basis or as a spare their service would be appreciated as we lost 2 delivery people this year due to health problems. If you are interested please contact us by phone at 604-536-2993.

Respectfully submitted,
Bernice and Beacher Wilson
