2009 CHRISTMAS BAZAAR REPORT

What a Day! What a Team! What a great Result!

From the moment I volunteered to coordinate this event I knew in my heart it was going to be a huge success. How could it be otherwise when we had such a great group of
co-convenors? Thanks to all of you for attending the planning meetings and for working together in such harmony. It is remarkable that we pulled everything together in just five weeks.

I was very pleased that we were able to work “hand in glove” with the display of Nativity sets, part of our support for the “Christmas on the Peninsula” program.

My grateful thanks to Betty Hansen for all her encouragement and support. I was only sorry that painful pinched nerves kept me from being present on such a wonderful day of fun and fellowship, but I never had a moment’s worry as I knew we had such a wonderful team to carry this through to a successful conclusion.

Results were outstanding - almost $6,300! The team met after the Bazaar to discuss how we could improve next year, and it was a very productive meeting.

Thank you all for the support you gave us by your generous donations and your attendance. We look forward to another successful Bazaar in 2010.
