CHURCH OFFICE HOURS – CHANGE!
The church office will be closed for holidays from December 25th through January 1st, and re-opens on January 2nd.  Beginning January 2018, the church office hours are changing – new hours will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Altar Guild is requesting donations of greenery, Christmas roses, cedar boughs, holly berries, etc., to decorate the church for Christmas. Altar Guild members will be at the church on Saturday, December 23rd at 9:00 a.m. to receive your offerings.

Volunteers are needed to help to decorate the church at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 23rd, and to take down the flowers and decorations on Wednesday, December 27th.  If you are able to help, please put your name on the sign-up sheet located on the bulletin board on the top of the stairs.

The Flower delivery ministry will once again be delivering flowers to our shut-ins on Wednesday, December 27th.  If you are able to help with deliveries, please put your name and phone number on the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board.

REMINDERS!!

New Quarterly Schedule  for January, February & March, 2018 is now available for pick up from the mail slots outside the office. Please stop by and pick yours up today.

New coffee schedule has been e-mailed to everyone who is on the rota.  If you need a printed copy, call Jann at the office.

2018 OFFERING ENVELOPES are now available at the back of the church.  Remember to pick yours up!

TAX DEADLINE APPROACHING! In order to claim an income tax deduction for donations made to “The Church of the Holy Trinity” for the year 2017, cheques must be dated, and received prior to December 31st.  Any donations received after that date will be receipted for the following tax year!

SUNDAY SCHOOL AND R-TEAM BOTTLE DRIVE – Bring in your Holiday party empties!  Our kids are fundraising to support our foster child Claudia.  This is our final bottle drive of the season, and will go until the end of January.  Your support of our kids as they this undertake this valuable ministry is deeply appreciated.

Our CHRISTMAS FAIR & BAKE SALE raised more than $4900.00!  Again, we extend thanks to all the amazing volunteers whose energy and goodwill made the event full of fun and fellowship.  Thanks to John Bliss and Cynthia Batchelor for counting the money, to Jann for all her help and to Joan, for all her extra work.

We would like, in particular, to take a moment to thank those local businesses who graciously donated Gift Certificates in support of our fundraising and our community – Safeway, Peninsula Village, Real Canadian Superstore and Home Depot, South Surrey.

Memorial Poinsettias will be available for placement on the altar in memory of loved ones.  The cost is a $7.50 donation – you may add this in with your regular weekly contribution, marked “Poinsettia” and the amount on the outside of the envelope.  The sign-up list is on the bulletin board at the top of the stairs.

Thank you to Lynne Francis for all her work and preparation with the choir, and to Rita Buchy who graciously stepped in at short notice to conduct the choir for today’s Carol Service.  It is greatly appreciated!
