Prayer of Blessing
Praise be to God, who has made every animal wise in the instinct given
to it. Now, O Lord, we pray that you will bless all things that have breath,
especially these creatures gathered with us today. Guard them form all
evil and extinction. May they ever live in peace. Amen.

Following the Blessing with Holy Water, those persons who wish to have an
individual blessing for themselves and their pets are asked to come forward
to one of the priests. At that time the priest will gently touch each animal,
call them by name and bless them.
